Renewables Customer & Data Manager


FLEXPOWER Customer & Data Managers work to facilitate the energy transition by ensuring the data flows between customers, DSOs/TSOs, operations, and trading. You will organize and execute the master and transaction data cycle from our sales leads to the customer portfolio, to the trading floor, and back. We offer power purchase agreements to operators of wind or solar parks, optimize 3rd party batteries, and enter into origination deals within the B2B segment. You will work closely with the origination team and ensure that we know what our assets are doing and how they perform. You will help develop the new industry standard for managing data flows between generation assets, flexible demand, grid operators, energy exchanges, market data sources, and your traders. 

We expect you to be a regular at our Hamburg office, while hybrid working is an option. We are looking for detail-oriented problem solvers. You will gather a deep understanding of the European energy landscape and be encouraged to grow into a leadership role once you have established robust systems as a Junior.

You enjoy to

  • Work within a team to design and deliver robust and reliable digital solutions supporting short-term trading processes
  • Closely collaborate with all members of the origination team as well as with outside stakeholders and partners during the whole asset management cycle 
  • Support in setting up processes for Master Data quality controlling and Master Data management 
  • Support and take responsibility for implementing and maintaining value-adding solutions as well as testing and documentation to fulfill all internal and external quality requirements 
  • Implement continuous improvement in the entire business process landscape to move to a digital and automated set-up
  • Manage projects for technical optimizations and upgrades of the existing system landscape

You are confident in your ability to 

  • Take on responsibility as a Data manager. 1-3 years of previous experience in the energy markets is considered a plus. Especially experience in trading, commodity markets and logistics, dispatch, scheduling, and nominations will prove helpful
  • Display an understanding of the network in the renewable energy landscape, especially in the German market
  • Think analytically while developing excellent organizational skills with the ability to present complex topics targeted to the audience
  • Monitor data quality and develop data quality reports
  • Understand and execute data modeling, data cleansing, data quality, and data governance
  • Actively participate in the architecture, data design, and review of the applications landscape while focusing on reusable and scalable modules
  • Collaborate using all the tools within the MS O365 landscape
  • Communicate in German and English at a minimum B2 level
