Hamburg, 30 October 2025 – The power trader FlexPower has launched an interac-tive PPA Configurator. This first-of-its-kind tool provides algorithm-driven optimization for industrial power procurement, including Power Purchase Agreements (PPAs), in real time. The PPA Configurator is openly accessible and identifies, at the click of a button, the cost-optimized mix of spot market procurement in combination with solar and wind PPAs. Each result is tailored to a company’s load and risk profile, providing an immediate and transparent price indication.
Until now, sourcing green power through PPAs has often been complex, costly, and difficult to benchmark for industrial consumers. FlexPower’s new configurator simplifies this process: companies enter just three parameters: annual power demand, risk level, and industry sector. Based on this input, the system automatically calculates the optimal power mix strategy and visualizes how consumption, generation, and market prices interact over the course of a sample day.

The price calculation is based on current market data from FlexPower’s own PPA platform PowerMatch for the delivery year 2026. It also integrates predefined standard load profiles from the German Association of Energy and Water Industries (BDEW) and historical generation data from German wind and solar assets. This ensures the tool reflects realistic market conditions.
